عالم النبات مثل عالم الإنسان بالظبط فيه حب وفيه كره ،يوجد ناتات يمكن ان تزرع مع بعضها البعض وتساعد بعضها على النمو فمثلا الجزر والبازلاء ينموا بشكل ممتاز وهما مزروعين قريب من بعض .
ويمكن ان يحدث العكس ممكن نبات يوقف أو يقلل من بنمو نبات آخر عندما يكونوا قريبين من بعض البعض مثل زراعة الذرة و الطماطم ممن يضروا بعضهم.
وهذا الموضوع يستخدم كبديل للمبيدات فمثلا البناتات ذات الرائحة القوية مثل الأعشاب وبعض الزهور تطرد الحشرات الضارة وبالتالي نحافظ على باقي البناتات اللي بجانبها .
